Developing strong relationships with the aboriginal people of the Northern Territory.

The owner of Katherine Art Gallery and Top Didj & Art Gallery settled in the Northern Territory and has called Katherine home since 1979. First living and working in Katherine in 1963 and 1964. During this time a strong relationship with the aboriginal people of the Northern Territory was developed. The gallery has been involved with the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia since its foundation and is also a member of the Indigenous Art Code. These codes of conduct promote integrity, transparency and accountability in the indigenous art market, setting best practice for quality and ethical standards.
